Description
Phillip Chen was born, raised, and educated in Chicago, attending SAIC for graduate school. Rooftops is one of several evocative night scenes that Chen created based on observations of the city at night madewhile riding what is now the Blue Line along Milwaukee Avenue. Like many graduates of SAIC, he studied and taught at Ox-Bow as well as at SAIC.
